Validate a VERATIU record
Use a record identifier or file comparison to examine the technical information available for verification.
Find the reference
Locate the VERATIU record identifier and available hash values in the report or delivered files. Keep the complete delivery available so you can interpret the result with its original context.
Use the existing VERATIU validator
Open the public VERATIU validator and follow its supported options. Enter the identifier exactly as shown, or use the file-comparison option offered there. Makeprove does not operate a separate public registry for these VERATIU records.
Compare the actual files
A cryptographic hash is calculated from a file’s bytes. Compare the value for your file with the corresponding reference in the report or manifest. VERATIU documentation describes SHA-256, SHA-512 and SHA3-512; use the values available in your specific delivery.
Interpret the result
A matching result relates the queried identifier or file to the data available to the validator. A result that is not found does not by itself explain the cause; check the identifier, selected file and service instructions.
A match supports integrity comparison. It does not independently identify the author, establish that the content is true, prove lawful access or determine evidential value.
Preserve the verification context
Retain the original report, source information, dates, metadata and delivered files. If a formal opinion is required, an expert or legal professional can assess the package and the relevant jurisdiction.
